Contributors add content to the site through defined content templates. A content template is a form that enables the contributor of content to enter all the specified metadata on a particular document, classify that document, and either enter the text or attach the actual content of the document as a file.
Metadata is specific to each template but would include data such as publication date, author, title, etc. Classification is a form of metadata that is essential to effectively categorize the content. The collection of metadata is necessary for an effective search process and enhances the overall functionality of the site. The Content Template Builder allows you to create the input templates to collect this metadata.
