About Aer Lingus
Aer Lingus, from the Irish for ‘air fleet’, is the flag carrier of Ireland. It operates a fleet of 47 Airbus aircraft serving Europe, North Africa, Turkey and North America. It is Ireland’s oldest existing airline and its second largest, after low-cost rival Ryanair. The airline’s head office is located on the grounds of Dublin Airport in Swords, Ireland. In 2015, the Irish Government and Ryanair agreed to sell their combined 55% stake in Aer Lingus to IAG (International Airlines Group), the world’s seventh largest airline group by revenue.
Aer Lingus has 2 A330-300 and 9 A350-900 aircraft on order and also currently operates Boeing 757 and 767 aircraft on wet lease, as well as ATRs in its regional fleet.
