Arconics Aviation is working with the specialist aviation training company IDC Aviation in the UK. The Arconics is at the heart of IDC's knowledge management offering for airlines.
Formed in 1996, IDC Aviation has helped a range of airlines, military organisations and aviation schools to improve their training and knowledge management systems. Its clients include British Airways, CityJet and the Royal Air Force.
The IDC Aviation implementation of Arconics can deliver an extremely wide variety of information to help flight crew and flight operations staff to publish and access the information they need. Examples include information assembled from one or more sections of the aircraft manual for reference or training purposes and a page showing late-breaking operational information for each crew member as s/he checks-in.
The system automates and streamlines the production, capture, management and publication of information. It distils and collates information to compile pages which are directly relevant to the viewer.
It maintains a complete audit of changes made to knowledge and tracks its distribution and receipt.
