Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Users Forum and Expo
Hosted by Lufthansa Systems

“Cathay Pacific selected Arconics because they are able to deliver a tailored solution in a timely manner. Arconics was able to work with our enterprise architecture and security teams to create the perfect configuration for our needs. Our initial deployment used BYOD devices across Boeing and Airbus fleets. The pilot feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We are now rolling out company-issued devices to crew across the airline and our subsidiaries. We have chosen AeroEFB as part of the solution for our A350 – our first paperless cockpit. Arconics software gives Flight Ops the reporting and compliance management that we need. Arconics were able to enhance the product based on our requirements. We have been delighted with Arconics and the software they have delivered to us.”
- Mark Hoey, General Manager Operations, Cathay Pacific
Discover the power of AeroEFB at EFB Users Forum, Munich, 2016
Goal: The goal is to coordinate development of EFBs among airlines, airframe manufacturers, suppliers, and regulators. The forum will also identify operational and technical trends to find standardised solutions while improving EFB services. In combination with coordinated development, this will help achieve the ultimate goal of a wider range of products, harmonised regulations, expanded capabilities, and lower cost for the benefit of all.
Scope: The EFB Users Forum was chartered by its original APIM 09-009 in October, 2009. This activity provides a unified forum for airlines, system integrators, hardware and software providers, regulators, and other interested parties to present and discuss topics of interest to the EFB user community. This includes but is not limited to EFB subjects such as:
- Regulatory changes.
- Communication interfaces (including media, provider, connectivity).
- Data input devices, terminals, displays, and interactive devices.
- Hardware and software development.
- Electrical interfaces and power supply.
- Operational issues.
Arconics will exhibit our AeroEFB electronic flight bag software at the EFB Users Forum and Expo, and it would be great to meet up and show you why our EFB viewer is considered best-in-class by airline pilots all over the world. The AeroEFB viewer was the world’s first native EFB viewer for iPad and its design has been led by the pilot user experience. We will be unveiling our native Windows Surface EFB viewer at the forum, so you can be among the very first to experience this exciting innovation.
Among the many benefits of Arconics AeroEFB
AeroEFB is a modular solution, which can integrate easily and efficiently with any other element of your IT structure. Our Electronic Flight Bag takes flexibility to new heights, offering a robust central control and viewing experience, with complete freedom in the choice of modules.
AeroEFB can be integrated with aircraft data systems and ground control using Arinc protocols, enabling dynamic updates and reporting. AeroEFB delivers FCBP (Flight Crew Briefing Packs) to crew devices. The system captures flight-related data from the crew during flight and returns the data to the ground systems in XML format. Our software provides the secure management and controlled distribution of briefing items such as OFPs (Operational Flight Plans), NOTAMs, Weather and Flight Logs.
AeroEFB electronic flight bag software delivers on the promise of digital and the benefits of the paperless cockpit, giving pilots the world’s most effective tools and the best possible flight experience. AeroEFB is the market-leading solution for delivery of FCOMs, ops manuals and documents into the paperless cockpits of nextgen aircraft such as the A350 and the B787.
